Frequently asked questions

What resolution are the JPG images?

Pages render at 300 DPI, sharp enough for screen viewing, presentations, and standard print.

What do I get in the download?

A ZIP archive with one JPG per page. A 6-page PDF produces 6 images named page-1.jpg through page-6.jpg.

How do I convert a PDF to an image without Adobe?

Upload the PDF here. We render each page with pdftoppm and package the images into a ZIP. No Adobe, no software to install.

Can I get PNG instead of JPG?

Not currently. We output JPG at 300 DPI, which handles photos and graphics well at that resolution. PNG support for lossless output is on our roadmap.

Can I convert just one page from a large PDF?

We convert all pages in one pass. Download the ZIP and pull out the specific page image you need.

Do I need to sign up?

No account required. Guests get one conversion per day; free accounts get 10.

Is there a file size limit?

50 MB per file. Large PDFs with many pages take a bit longer because every page gets rendered individually.

Is my file safe?

Your PDF is processed in memory and deleted the moment the ZIP is returned. Nothing is stored.
