Privacy Policy

Overview

Papyrio is a PDF toolkit at papyrio.net. This page covers what data we collect and what we do with it.

Files you upload

Files you upload are sent directly to our conversion server for processing. We do not store your files. They exist in memory only for the duration of the conversion and are discarded immediately after the PDF is returned to your browser. We never read, index, or share the content of your documents.

Data we collect automatically

When you use Papyrio, our server logs the following for security and rate-limiting purposes:

  • IP address
  • Request timestamp
  • HTTP method and path
  • Response status code

We keep these logs for up to 30 days. We don't share them or use them to identify you.

Cookies

Papyrio does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Clerk sets a session cookie to keep you signed in. We use Vercel Analytics for anonymous, aggregate usage statistics — no personal data is collected and no cookies are set for this purpose.

Third-party services

File conversions are processed using LibreOffice, Tesseract, and other open-source tools running on our own server. Your files are never sent to third-party APIs.

  • Clerk — handles authentication. Processes your email address and name when you create an account. See Clerk's Privacy Policy.
  • Stripe — handles payments for Pro subscriptions. We never see or store your card details. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel — hosts the frontend and may collect standard access logs. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.

Children

Papyrio isn't for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we update this policy, the date at the top changes. Using Papyrio after a change means you accept the update.
