What does cropping a PDF do?
Cropping removes the outer margins of each page, shrinking the visible area. Useful for stripping white space from scanned documents or trimming pages to a tighter frame.
Can I crop different amounts from each side?
Set top, right, bottom, and left margins independently in millimetres, or apply a uniform crop to all four sides at once.
Is cropping reversible?
The content outside the crop box is hidden, not deleted. Another tool with a PDF editor can technically restore it, but for most practical purposes treat it as permanent.
Does cropping reduce file size?
Not significantly. The hidden content still exists in the file. Run the PDF through Compress PDF after cropping to reduce file size.
