Frequently asked questions
Is the redaction permanent?
Yes. The text is permanently removed from the PDF using PyMuPDF's redaction engine — it cannot be revealed by selecting, copying, or inspecting the file.
Does it redact all occurrences?
Yes. Every match of each term across all pages is redacted in a single pass.
Is the search case-sensitive?
No. The search is case-insensitive, so 'John' will also match 'JOHN' and 'john'.
Can I redact multiple words at once?
Yes. Add as many terms as you need — each one is redacted from the entire document.
Is my file safe?
