How to Merge PDF Files Online

How Page Order Works When Merging
Files merge in the order you upload them: File 1 becomes the first section, File 2 follows, and so on. Within each file, pages keep their original order. Decide the order before uploading, since reordering after the fact isn't supported in a single pass.
File and Size Limits for Merging
Up to 10 files per merge, 200 MB total across all files combined, with each individual file under 50 MB. For larger batches, merge the first 10, download the result, then merge that output with the next group of files.
Merging Password-Protected PDFs
Password-protected files can't be merged directly. Remove the password from each one first, then combine the unlocked files.

How many PDF files can I merge at once?
Between 2 and 10 files per merge. Need to combine more than 10? Merge the first batch, download the result, then merge that output with the next batch.
Can I control the page order?
Pages appear in the order you upload the files. To reorder pages within a single PDF before merging, use our Organize PDF tool first.
Do I need to sign up?
No account required. Guests get one merge per day; free accounts get 10.
Is there a file size limit?
200 MB total across all files combined. Individual files must be under 50 MB each.
Will bookmarks and links survive the merge?
Internal links within individual files are preserved. Cross-file bookmarks, links from one PDF pointing into another, won't carry over; PDF doesn't have a native concept for those.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
No. Remove the password from each file using our Unlock PDF tool before merging.
Does it work on mobile?
Works in any browser, no app required. Upload from your phone or tablet directly.
Is my file safe?
All uploaded files are processed in memory and deleted the moment the merged PDF is returned. Nothing is stored.
