Frequently asked questions
Is this a legally binding eSignature?
No. This applies a visual image of your signature to the PDF. It works for most everyday documents where a visual mark is sufficient. For legally verified eSignatures, the DocuSign-equivalent, use a dedicated eSign service.
How do I create a signature image?
Sign on white paper and photograph it, or sign on your phone's notes app and screenshot it. Crop tightly, save as PNG, and upload. A transparent background gives the cleanest result.
What image formats are accepted for the signature?
PNG (recommended, since it supports transparency) and JPEG. PNG with a transparent background blends cleanly onto the page.
Can I control where the signature is placed?
The signature is placed at the bottom-left with a standard margin. Custom positioning is on our roadmap.
Can I sign only the last page?
Choose last page only, or stamp every page. The option appears before you download.
Do I need to sign up?
No account required. Guests get one use per day; free accounts get 10.
Is there a file size limit?
50 MB for the PDF. The signature image can be any size; we scale it automatically.
Is my file safe?
Both files, your PDF and signature image, are processed in memory and deleted the moment your download starts.
